We are in the process of remodeling our kitchen. Due to space requirements we are looking for a counterdepth french door with bottom freezer or a counterdepth side-by-side. Our new refrigerator location will be on the opposite wall from the sink with no nearby plumbing. I'm looking for a frig that does not have a water dispenser as we have a water filtration system with a special faucet on our sink. I would like an ice maker but does that require a plumbing hook up? If so, is it possible to get a counter depth side by side or counterdepth french door refrigerator without either of these options? I can't seem to find any on the internet...I need it in white. Any suggestions?

I've got a teeny-tiny size kitchen. I am planning a complete re-do in a few months, and I'm starting my research now for products. I want a stainless steel counter-depth refrigerator (24 inches), but the space will not accomodate a side-by-side. This is what the counter-depth models are, and they're too wide, as is a French door model. I've only found two regular refrigerators, both very small capacity, that are 24 inches deep. My current old appliance is small capacity,17.2 Cu. Ft. but it sticks out several inches beyond the counter. I want the new fridge to tuck in for a more streamlined look.
The only two I've found are online. The brands are LG and Summit. Summit makes some that are a little bit bigger than LG.
Has anyone ever heard of Summit? They're kind of pricey, but I'd be willing to skimp in other areas in order to get the fridge the right dimensions for the Barbie-doll-sized space.
I can order online, but I wouldn't be able to see the appliance beforehand. I just wondered if anyone knew firsthand about the quality and performance of this brand, Summit.

My fiance and I are dying to find a fridge that will fit in the old house we bought. The problem is, it can't be wider than 35", deeper than 28", or taller than 70" or we'll have to demo. Also, due to a narrow walkway, we have to do a side-by-side fridge and would like to avoid a french door (bottom drawer) arrangement. Any ideas? We are really stumped and afraid this tiny fridge is going to cost a fortune or require us to cut into the pantry space behind it.
