My GE side by side gave me so much problems you wouldn’t believe. OMG, it looks like I have the same refrigerator. Is this the GE Profile? I’ve had so much trouble with the ice dispenser and water, my ice creams melts and then freezes the temperature in the freezer fluctuates and from time to time I get a puddle of water on the floor, this high end GE refrigerator sucks big time.

I have a $6,000. GE Monogram that has sweated into my house causing 15,000 in damage. It was a built in so we had no idea it was leaking into our kitchen walls floor and cabinets. it has been 5 weeks w/o a kitchen. GE SUCKS!!!!!

why doesn’t this dummy try to stop the fire? what a jackass thing to do.

  5. joe4ska says:

hey doug wow it only took you 2 minutes to put down the camera to grab the fire extinguisher.

  6. MyFJ says:

Guess he did not think to unplug.

  7. BringGoodThings says:

Doug was VERY smart to video this fire as it is a common problem with GE refrigerators. The video may be the only way he is able to “convince” GE to repair it without charging him for repairing a common defect. They’ve disavowed this fire problem more times than I can count. I hope he told GE he had posted it to YouTube!

Oh my god, I’ve been looking for reviews on my GE profile fridge newly installed (3 days old) here in my house. This house is the fruit of all my hardships and I just moved here 2 days ago, and my 4000 dollar fridge might just burn it all down? I’m not going to let that happen. I’m calling GE NOW!

  9. CautiousSaint says:

Unplugging a burning refrigerator would have put out the fire???

  10. CautiousSaint says:

@awesomeubermensch He was trying to get it on video for GE. It’s called “evidence.”

  11. TheGeguy says:

He should have taking the food out first, then let it burn down..

  12. cluppins says:

My 3 1/2 year old GE refrigerator had a similar problem. The sealed system got so hot that the insulation melted and oozed out of the bottom freezer. GE refrigerators are a fire hazzard and can burn down your house. Do not buy a GE refrigerator.

  13. cluppins says:

My GE refrigerator broke after 3 years. The sealed system overheated and melted all of the insulation. GE refrigerators are a fire hazard. Do not buy GE appliances. Customer relations refused to replace my defective refrigerator.

My Frige cant stay at a cold temp. idk why!

  15. ge0624me says:

Wow! I understand that is a big issue but keep in mind ge produces more appliances than any other company, they stand behind their product 100%,no appliance manufacturing co is perfect there all man made, I’ve serviced just about every brand and can tell you ge leads the way,for that matter any man made product can fail and does.

Hi Doug, this is Vikki with GE. I am very concerned with what I see in the video and would like to have a few more details. Please email us at eResponse@ge.com so we can check into this for you.
